The Laboratoire de Précision is an independent testing body for precision measurement in watchmaking, available to any brand or movement manufacturer. It develops its own technology, manages its own infrastructure, and sets its own methodology.
Confidentiality is guaranteed through contractual commitments from all personnel, management, and the Steering Committee. The laboratory operates its own dedicated data centres.
It is the first single entity to conduct both Chronometer and Master Chronometer testing, the two most demanding precision standards in mechanical watchmaking.
It is accredited as a testing laboratory according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS). Scope of accreditation includes movement measurement in accordance with ISO 3159.
It is certified by METAS for Master Chronometer measurements in accordance with requirement N001.
The Laboratoire de Précision is a Swatch Group company, registered in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Bern.
